My Amana NTW4516FW top load washer fills up but then just empties out and stops with all lights off simply the wash light. Never really advancing into launder mode, it only shuts downward after emptying out without spinning. So it leaves a washer full of soaking moisture clothes at the lesser.

Hi,
Your missing a digit after the "West" at the end of your model number, read it from the model number tag located under the lid.
Here's the results I get:
NTW4516FW0
NTW4516FWi
NTW4516FW2

Model # NTW4516FW1 - When I run the diagnostics I'm getting Mistake Code F8-E1, which so far hasn't been much assistance. The hose screens are clean and at that place'south no problem getting water from either hose or whatever problems with the washer valves.
Once again, the washer fills upward but so just empties out and stops with all lights off but the wash calorie-free sometimes and no lights other times. Never actually advancing into wash fashion, information technology merely shuts down afterward elimination out without spinning. So it leaves a washer full of soaking wet clothes at the bottom.
I've replaced the Command Console but accept the same issues that I had with the original Control Panel. I'm thinking that I need to try replacing the Washer Water-Level Selector Switch (W10414398) and possibly the Whirlpool Bicycle Selector Switch (W10414411) side by side.

Time with a stopwatch how long it takes to fill up up on COLD ONLY, HOT Only, and WARM. On this machines if it does non fill in Vi MINUTES, it volition drain and cease the cycle.
I have seen this happen many times on service calls, and its always been the water inlet valve that was the problem if the h2o force per unit area to the auto is fine.
I'yard attaching your tech. data sail below.
eight-1--->NO Fill, LONG Make full--->Error is displayed when the water level does not change for a catamenia of time OR h2o is nowadays but main control does not detect the water level changing.
Is h2o supply connected and turned on?
Low water pressure; fill times longer than half dozen minutes.
Are hose screens plugged?
Check for proper bleed hose installation. Is h2o siphoning out of the drain hose? • Bleed hose must not be more than than 4.5" (114 mm) into the drain pipe.
Bank check force per unit area hose connexion from tub to pressure sensor. Is hose pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air?
See TEST #2: Valves, folio 13

Hi Jake, cheers for all of that information, very helpful. My question now would be this... I have low water pressure level at my house and then it'due south e'er taken almost 10 minutes to fill up the washer but that has never been a problem... Until recently apparently... and when it started acting up it was randomly at first simply now does it every time, with the exception of a now very rare successful wash cycle. With this information in heed do you still recommend changing the H2o Inlet Valve W11210459? Thank you very much for your time and assistance!

I should add that the pressure hose connection from the tub to the pressure sensor looks expert, it's not pinched, kinked, plugged, or croaky.

Yes, supervene upon the water inlet valve and that should prepare information technology.
I should add that the force per unit area hose connection from the tub to the pressure sensor looks good, information technology's not pinched, kinked, plugged, or croaky.
Good.

You said y'all have low water pressure level to your house, but its worked fine till at present, can y'all increment the water pressure to your business firm and attempt it again?
For some reason its taking longer than 6 minutes to fill up now, and earlier it didn't then your h2o pressure must have decreased more than since this problem started.
Go to the hardware store and buy a water pressure approximate and test your h2o pressure at the water faucets that go to your washer.

Hi Jake,
To follow up 3 months later... Y'all were right, information technology was my h2o pressure. It has always been low force per unit area at my house but somehow it got low enough that it acquired problems with my washer. I'm a DYI guy and I spent time when I could changing onetime plumbing lines coming into the firm to new parts and new plumbing where it looked like it was needed. I couldn't even tell what did the trick exactly because I cleaned out and change then much over fourth dimension that I'm non sure where the problem was but I suspect an old bank check-valve of being clogged upwardly or lacking. At present, the washer works groovy and I accept MUCH stronger water pressure level than I've always had before and it's steady, which is new also. I changed a few washer parts information technology turns out that I didn't need to change just I've got them for spares and it was a logical first step. Overall, I'm much better off than earlier this whole situation began. I wanted to cheers for all of your help, ideas, suggestions and expertise. I actually appreciate it!
